Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A man described by police as a Twin Cities street gang member has been given a nearly 6 year prison sentence for a prostitution related conviction in Rochester, but it will not add to the time he is already serving for a conviction stemming from the murder of a teenage girl in the Twin Cities.

Olmsted County Judge Joseph Chase today ruled 25-year-old Devonte Bobo will be allowed to serve the 70 month prison term concurrently with the 20 year prison sentence he was given earlier this year for his conviction on second degree murder and aggravated robbery charges. Bobo was one of four men charged with the shooting death of 16-year-old Samantha Burnette of Minnetonka last September.

He was arrested in Rochester in May of last year for trying to recruit a woman to work as a prostitute. The woman he was targeting was actually an undercover police officer. Through a plea agreement finalized today, Bobo admitted to the felony prostitution charge, while a related drug possession charge was dropped.
