Minneapolis, MN (Learfield Wire Services) -- Minneapolis Police blame two rival gangs for a shootout in a north side neighborhood that killed one man and wounded seven others.

An unidentified 20-year-old man was shot to death, and four other men and three women suffered gunshot wounds. Almost two dozen officers were called to the scene Wednesday night, where they recovered two handguns and almost 50 shell casings.

Police Chief Janee Harteau says her investigators know who's involved, and she promises to go after them. She said the violence would not be tolerated.
