Gas Leak Closes Suburban SE Rochester Road

A section of a well-traveled road in southeast Rochester is closed to traffic this afternoon because of a natural gas leak.

The Rochester Fire Department says 50th Avenue near the intersection with 15th Street is expected to remain closed into the evening while crews make repairs to the gas line, which was damaged by construction work.

The most recent reports indicate the road would be closed until at least 8 p.m.
