Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - Southeastern Minnesota is forecast to experience its first hard freeze of the season by Saturday morning.

The National Weather Service is predicting morning lows in the upper 20s throughout the region, which is covered by a freeze warning that includes most of the southern half of Minnesota, eastern Iowa and southern Wisconsin.

The Rochester area normally sees its first killing frost in early October, but last year the first hard freeze did not occur until the end of the month.
