Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - There was a plea agreement this week in a case involving a drug raid at a residence near the Boys and Girls Club in Rochester.

39 year old Michael Mechtel admitted to a third-degree drug possession charge, while a first-degree charge was dismissed. He and a 40-year-old Marcy Maklenburg were arrested In January after a search warrant was executed at the residence in the 1100 block of Second Street Northeast and police found almost 500 grams of methamphetamine, which police say as a street value of around $27,000. Police also found $6700 in suspected drug money.

The couple was free on bail after being charged in connection with a raid at the same residence last fall that resulted in the seizure of about the same amount of meth and $34,000 in cash.

Mechtel is scheduled to be sentenced April 15th.
