Rochester, MN (KROC AM News)  - Storm cells developed late Monday afternoon across southeast Minnesota, southwest Wisconsin and northeast Iowa and produced heavy rain, lightning and even hail in some areas.  

There were numerous reports of hail in Olmsted County, including stones that measured an inch and a half in diameter near the Rochester airport.

Rainfall totals in the area ranged from about a tenth of an inch in Byron to 8-tenths near Douglas. Totals in Rochester were generally in the quarter inch to half inch range. The total at the airport was a quarter inch.

Dry weather and below normal temperatures are expected the rest of the week.
