Milaca, MN - It’s happened in other parts of the country, but it’s something you wouldn’t expect to happen in a small Minnesota community.

The Mille Lacs County Times is reporting that a Hardee’s Restaurant corporate executive has issued an apology to a Milaca Police Officer after she claimed she was denied service at the drive-thru window at the Hardee’s in the central Minnesota town on Tuesday because she is a law officer. According to the newspaper, Officer Jackie Minks posted on Facebook that a cook at the restaurant refused to make food for her because “she doesn’t like cops.” The officer went on to say she spoke with a manager about the incident, but her complaint was dismissed as “silly.”

The Mille Lacs County Times is reporting a post from the Hardee’s corporate Facebook account stated the incident was investigated and the employee no longer works for the restaurant.

Milaca is a town of about 3,000 people that is located about 25 miles northwest of St. Cloud.
