This new doll was designed to help babies sleep longer, and feel better and safer with soothing natural sounds of a heartbeat and breathing.

The night my wife and I got to take our little Charlee home from the hospital, the reality of being a parent finally hit us both.

The first couple weeks were really rough, as they are with all parents, because you must adjust to the baby's schedule and try to sleep whenever they sleep.

To say we're lucky is an understatement; because after only four months, Charlee learned to soothe herself in her crib in order to fall asleep, while also staying asleep through the whole night.

Most parents I know have wondered how to get their own kids to do that!

Now, there's a new doll claiming to be the solution.

Eyrún Eggertsdóttir is a mother who also studied psychology and she came up with Lulla — a plush doll that helps kids sleep with calm breathing and heartbeat sounds.

See for yourself with this video of the Lulla doll:

So far, response to the doll has been overwhelming, with parents getting in bidding wars on Ebay just trying to bring a Lulla home to their kids!

Considering we're so blessed with our daughter being such a good sleeper now, this doll might be something to think about when kid #2 comes around... because Lord knows we're not hitting the jackpot two times in a row!
