It's officially crock-pot season. Time for soups, stews and chili.

Have you ever tried 'Wisconsin-Style' chili? It contains all of the traditional chili ingredients plus macaroni noodles and it is fantastic.

Cooks.com offers this recipe: In Dutch oven; fill half full with water. Add large can of tomato juice (this should be about 2 1/2" from top of Dutch oven). Add macaroni. Cook until soft. Add remaining ingredients, cover and simmer. (Can be eaten in about 30 minutes but is best if cooked 1 to 2 hours.) Refrigerate any leftovers as it tastes great the second day. (Can be frozen if necessary.) This is a soup-type chili and not thick when first made. It will thicken after being refrigerated. Click here for exact ingredients.

If you're craving chili now you should join us for the annual Chili Challenge to benefit the Boys & Girls Club of Rochester. I'm not sure if they'll have any 'Wisconsin-Style' chili but I can promise they'll have a bunch of different options for you to enjoy and plenty of beer too!  The Chili Challenge is this Thursday in downtown Rochester. Click here for details.
