As we all know, dogs and cats go missing everyday in this city, and while there are so many ways people try in bringing their lost furry family member home, one effort has been getting attention. If you live in Rochester, it's tough not spot these signs strewn about the city since they're everywhere!

The Makkens lost two of their five dogs being held at a kennel on December 16th while the family was celebrating Christmas in Florida. While one of the dogs, "Tyson", was found the same day, the now-famous Mini Greyhound, "Jackson" has been missing ever since. Jackson's disappearence is certainly not in vein, though. Jenna Makken tells the story of how he went missing, where he's been spotted, the efforts made to find him and the amazing help from complete strangers eager to make this search successful. Check my interview with Jenna below.

Along with assistance of friends, family and strangers, signs have been placed all over the city. Jenna has also taken her search online, posting on CraigsList and PetAmberAlert, among others. He's even got his own Facebook page! And while some might find all this effort a little overkill, one thing is for certain; there's a lot of love in the Makken house looking for their lost loved one.

So here's what you're looking for:

Remember, Jackson's a pretty skittish little pooch, so if you approach him he'll run away from you. Calling the number from all the posters and the above picture is the best way to go. So where else have you seen these signs? And have you spotted Jackson?

PS, if you can relate to this family because you're pet's missing too, here's a Facebook page dedicated to missing pets in SE Minnesota.
