Run Away With Me

I wouldn't say that I'm a materialistic girl.  I mean, I want to run away and get married, not be a princess and spend a fortune on a day.  Don't get me wrong, if you can afford it, more power to you!  BUT, this survey really irritated me.  Apparently, men are getting pretty lazy AND cheap.  You know the golden rule of spending two months' salary on an engagement ring?  Well, this just in, a quarter of all men are spending a measly 2 WEEKS salary OR LESS.  In fact, only 10% of men are following the golden rule!!  Not only that, more men are proposing at home instead of doing something crazy?  What is going on?  We were talking about divorce today.  More than 20% of people believe they WILL get divorced.  Since when did marriage become so casual??  Or am I just TOO traditional??  I'm not expecting a jumbo-tron proposal or running away to a tropical island with him kneeling down on a beach during a gorgeous sunset... wait!!  Yes, I am!!  Just kidding!  Just like any woman, I want a unique proposal.... catered to me.  Isn't that the way it's suppose to be?
