I volunteer with the Rochester Mustangs Sled Hockey Team and it’s SOOOO awesome! If you don’t know much about the team or sled hockey, here’s the deal. Sled hockey is an opportunity for those with a wide range of physical disabilities to play hockey. The players sit in a sled with blades on the bottom and use shortened hockey sticks with ice picks on the bottom to propel themselves around, and the Mustangs are the first sled hockey team in Rochester!

You can help raise funds for the Rochester Mustangs Sled Hockey Team (for things like equipment and ice time) while enjoying the Minnesota Wild hockey game on Thursday! We need volunteers to sell programs at the Wild game. You sell through the first period and then are free to watch the rest of the game. After you’re done selling programs, ushers will help you find open seats. You need to be at the Xcel Energy Center by 4:45 pm for training from the Wild staff. Gates open at 6 pm and the game starts at 7 pm.  Once you sign up (at the signup genius link below), you’ll get more details.

Date: 03/24/2016 (Thu.)
Time: 4:45pm - 8:00pm CDT
Location: Xcel Energy Center, 199 W Kellogg Blvd, St Paul MN 55102

Here’s a picture of the team!  And a picture of me with Nick, one of the players. Nick has two prosthetic legs and LOVES that he is playing hockey again! It’s such a great team, and a great cause AND you get to go to the Minnesota Wild game! Why haven’t you signed up yet?!?!?!?
