The National Weather Service in La Crosse has just released an updated statement on the winter weather moving through our area today.

On their facebook page they posted:

"A storm system will move slowly across the Upper Midwest bringing a variety of weather to the region through Tuesday. After the wintry mix moves out of the area this morning there will be a brief break before the next round moves in this afternoon. This second round looks to mainly be rain for portions of southern Wisconsin, however, colder air will be in place across northern Wisconsin into Minnesota and northwest Iowa where snow is expected. In between, there will be more of the wintry mix. Winter weather advisories remain in effect with winter storm warnings west of Interstate 35 where the heaviest snow will fall."
