Here’s How to Unlock a Secret Inbox Folder in Facebook Messenger

I did it and had messages that were a few years old that I never even knew about!

Seriously, I never even knew this was a thing but you can apparently 'unlock' an inbox in the Facebook Messenger app that you probably didn't even know existed.

Here's how you do it:

• Go into the Messenger app
• Tap on the Settings icon
• Tap on "People"
• Tap "Message Requests"
• Scroll to the bottom and tap "See filtered requests"

It basically unlocks the messages that were sent to you by people that aren't accepted as your friends (yet).

I guess Facebook only notifies you if they THINK you know the person, so a lot of these messages are just spam-like messages but still, you never know...

I mean, just look at how old those messages are that I found in my hidden inbox...  and that's just the beginning of them all.  I counted over 40+ unread messages in there!

So there you go, it's that easy, really.  Now you go and see what you've got in yours - It might be kind of fun to see what's all in there!
