See that baby? His name is Bentley. And Baby Bentley would like you to throw some cash-money into the Salvation Army Red Kettles. Now, if he seems a little fussy, that's only because he's been ringing for hours and just realized a lot of people don't have cash on 'em.

When he figured this out, he turned to me and said, "Hey, tall, loud guy people call James from the Y-105FM Early Morning Show on Rochester's Christmas Station, do we have a way for people to donate with their debit and credit cards?" I said, "We do!" And Bentley said, "Cool. Now excuse me, I'm going to poop my diapers, smile, and fall asleep."

A lot of people have asked this question, and Rebecca Snap from the Rochester Salvation Army, says they've set aside a special day for donating by credit/debit card.

"All day Saturday, December  8, at Hy-Vee Crossroads, the Rochester Salvation Army will have the option of donating to the red kettle with a credit or debit card. The card reader will be operated by Salvation Army staff and a group of the Chamber Toastmasters, and it’s as easy as 1,2,3: swipe or insert your card, type in the dollar amount you want to give and send yourself a receipt."

This is especially important as the storm last weekend put the Salvation Army about $7,000 behind.

BELL RINGING with Townsquare Media and Baby Bentley!

The Dollars donated to the Rochester Salvation Army during the Red Kettle Campaign support all 5 pillars of their programming, from social services like the warming center to the thousands of hot meals served every year, all year round.
