First, the dog is okay. And, officers resorted to using a stun gun on this stray dog so they could capture him and take him to Minneapolis Animal Care and Control... that's after he was spotted running in traffic along I-94 in the Twin Cities earlier this week.

As you might guess, I-94 in Minneapolis isn't anyplace you'd want to run if you're a dog. Luckily, this dog wasn't hit by a car-- mainly thanks to the patience of several Minnesota State Patrol officers who held back traffic and tried to rescue the dog.

The KSTP-TV story says the even tried to lure him into their squad car with crackers (that would have worked with pretty much EVERY dog I've ever had!) but that didn't work. He was crouched under a car when the finally subdued him with the stun gun.

But, yes, he's okay... and, because he didn't have any identification on him, he might soon be available for adoption. The video kind of looks like when police were chasing OJ in that slow speed white Bronco chase. Check it out...
