By now you've heard the heart-breaking news about Vikings quarterback Teddy Bridgewater, as the team announced Tuesday that he will indeed miss the entire 2016 season with a torn ACL and dislocated left knee.

Thankfully, doctors are predicting a full recovery for the 23-year-old Bridgewater and he should be on the road to playing football again in the next 9 to 12 months.

But in the words of Coach Mike Zimmer, "No one's feeling sorry for us."

In case your memory needs jogging: Little Skolbadiah became famous this past May when
he wrote a song asking if Teddy would come help him celebrate his 7th birthday. Turns out, Teddy heard the invitation loud and clear and
did end up showing up to help him celebrate, thus making a new friend for life.

So, while yesterday could very well be the low-point of Bridgewater's career, maybe he’ll find some solace in Obadiah’s latest song. In case you're curious about why "Call God" is incorporated into Obadiah's message; Bridgewater, who has been active in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes since his days at the University of Louisville, often uses the #CallGod hashtag with his social media posts:

God Bless this little guy, he's got a heart of purple and gold.
