The band Hootie & the Blowfish appeared on the Thursday episode of the late-night talk show, and I couldn't have been more excited to see them perform!

Between watching the NFL Draft and the new Avengers movie last night, I almost forgot to set my DVR for a truly nostalgic moment...

21 years after their TV debut on Letterman, Hootie & the Blowfish reunited for Dave with the song that started it all, "Hold My Hand."

For those of you who aren't a hardcore fan like myself, 'Hold My Hand' was the debut single for the group when it was released way back in 1994.  I can still remember buying that CD (Cracked Rear View) and practically ruining tracks like "Hold My Hand', "Only Wanna Be With You' and 'Time' from playing them SO much!

If you haven't been tuning into The Late Show, it's become a bit nostalgic as host David Letterman nears his last show on May 20th... but I am in no-way complaining after this performance!

Check it out for yourself:
