Hostess Introduces Deep Fried Twinkies You Can Make at Home

The deep-fried Twinkie is jumping from the state fair to your home freezer.

Hostess Brands, the makers of Twinkies, is launching Deep Fried Twinkies TODAY!

They'll cost $4.76 for a box of seven and for the first three months are available only at Wal-Mart.  After that they'll be available at other stores, according to AP.

The treats come in two flavors, chocolate and vanilla.

In case you're wondering about calories; I would say you shouldn't, as these Deep Fried Twinkies have double the fat content of a regular Twinkie... so while they'll no doubt taste good, they're obviously not a very healthy snack coming in at 9 grams of fat and 220 calories per snack.

So I guess what we're trying to say is: Please eat responsibly... or don't, we're not your mom.
