Byron, MN (KROC AM News) - A would-be burglar in Byron was scared off early Saturday by a man who was house-sitting while the owners were away.  

The man says a loud noise woke him up around 4 a.m. and when he went to check, he saw a stranger inside the home. The man says the intruder fled and he called 911.

It was determined the intruder forced open a door to gain entrance to the home that is located in the 1200 block of 3 ½ Ave NW.  

The man staying at the house told deputies the intruder left empty handed.
