Voter turnout in Olmsted County was down when compared to the last Presidential election in 2012.

Turnout was around 89.5 percent, down from roughly 93 percent in 2012. 80,753 votes were counted in Olmsted County. 16,924 were absentee ballots.

Donald Trump won the election and will serve as our 45th President, but he didn't win Olmsted County. Hillary Clinton won but it was close. Clinton got 36,266 votes (45.7%). Trump collected 35,668 votes (45.0%).

According to CNN, Clinton is winning the popular vote as of Wednesday afternoon. She had 59,626,695 votes, according to CNN's tally, with 92% of the expected vote counted. Trump had 59,428,493. That's a difference of about 200,000 votes. If these numbers hold she will be the fifth candidate in history to win the popular vote but lose the election.

Trump addressed the nation after winning the election. See his complete speech below.
