How to Talk to Your Kids About the Mass Shooting in Las Vegas
At least 58 people are reported dead, and more than 500 were injured on Sunday night when a gunman fired hundreds of shots into a crowd at a country music festival in Las Vegas.
By now you know the story. Your kids do too. In this day and age, it is impossible to shelter children from horrific news like this. So how to you talk to them? Back in May, after the terrorist incident that happened outside of an Ariana Grande show, we spoke with Heather who is a psychologist in Rochester. She explained the best way to discuss topics like this with your kids and said the first thing to do is figure out how much they know:
