Excitement continues to grow for SocialICE in downtown Rochester.

The annual event features ice sculptures and signature drinks from seven participating bars and new this year a 15-foot by 8-foot wall of ice - it will serve as a photo backdrop.

The Post Bulletin reports that 35,000 people attended last year's event. Jenna Bowman, the RDA's executive director told the PB, "I think as we as Minnesotans embrace the colder months, this event really is an opportunity to get out of the house and enjoy a unique way to engage with your community, whether you're a resident or a visitor."

Social Ice 2017 is Feb. 16th-18th in downtown Rochester.
