Is Prom Overrated?

Is prom overrated?  I found an article citing 10 reasons that it is.

Number 9 and 7 were especially true in my experiences.

Number 9 on their list: There’s all this unnecessary pressure for this night to be ultra meaningful and then you end up thinking you did prom wrong if it wasn’t the highlight of your high school career.

Number 7:Everyone is sort of waiting for the after party the whole time anyway.
