It Was a Different World the Last Time the Cubs Were in the World Series
Some fans have been waiting a lifetime for this moment!
Like most of America last night, my face was glued to the television to watch Game 6 of the NLCS. Clayton Kershaw, one of the best pitchers in the league, had a chance for the second time in this series to give his LA Dodgers a victory and force a Game 7.
But that didn't happen, and as a result the city of Chicago and any other long suffering Cubs fans partied into the night to celebrate something that hasn't happened in 71 agonizing years: a World Series berth!
a lot has happened since then. ESPN put together a small list of things that didn't even exist the last time the Cubs made the fall classic:
Also while watching, I couldn't help but see all the raw emotion escape everyone at the ballpark. I can't imagine what it's been like being a life-long Cubs fan, but I do know I've become one myself this postseason.
