It’s assumed that sharp-eyed satellites can easily detect a certain array of lights coming from Duluth, Minnesota the next several weeks.

Saturday was the opening of the 2018 Bentleyville “Tour of Lights” in Duluth’s Bayfront Festival Park.

Although the weather was frigid, thousands turned out for the opening night of what’s called America’s Largest Free Walk Through Lighting Display.

This year marks the 15th anniversary of the event, which began at the home of Nathan Bentley. That’s where the name comes from. The event is free, although organizers do accept donations to help cover costs.

The event will run through Dec 27th this year. Look for an excuse to go to the North Shore and include this in your plans!

And here is the history on this event.
