Update: Early Friday Morning in Japan the missing boy was found alive and unharmed near a Japanese military exercise field. The area he was found was nearly 4 miles from where his parents left him, and he had been there since the first night, and stayed there the rest of the remaining 6 days he was missing.

He was found in good condition aside from a rash on his arms and legs, doctors noting that he was mildly dehydrated and malnourished having not had anything to eat in 7 days. The Self Defense Force member who found him said that the boy had said that he was hungry, and gave him some water and rice balls. The police say that the parents are still under consideration for charges of negligence.

Has your child ever acted out in a way where you felt the need to punish them? Well, one Japanese family did just that while on a trip in Hokkaido, the northernmost main island of Japan, with dire consequences.

Their 7-year-old child was throwing stones at cars and people and, while on the way home, the parents stopped and left him alone on the side of the road. When they returned, he was gone. Five days later, and he is still missing and crews have been battling the weather to look for him. Hunters got involved after some members believed they found droppings from bears, but the droppings were determined to be from smaller animals. The Japanese military is now involved and adds to the already 200-member search team.

The area the search is heading towards is Mount Komagatake, a volcano that extends nearly 4,000 feet high. This region is full of wild bears, another worry for the search team. The weather currently for the area has lows in high 50's, not suitable for the little clothing the boy was left with, along with no food or means of communication.

Japanese officials are currently considering if the parents should be charged with child abandonment.
