Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - Hundreds of Jehovah’s Witnesses are in Rochester for what has become an annual pilgrimage to the city.

They will attend their annual regional convention, something that has been held in the city for nearly 30 years.

Spokesman Al Kauder says -

“ We are very excited to be back in Rochester.  For almost 30 years we have felt very welcomed by the city of Rochester and always look forward to returning. “

More than 3,000 attendees are expected for this weekend’s convention, which opens Friday and runs through Sunday. A total of seven weekend conventions will be held in Rochester, running through mid-August and each will draw about 3,000 people.

The sessions will be held at the Mayo Civic Center Taylor Arena and are open to the public.
