She doesn't smoke pot: The GQ interview took place at the AMAs and the scent of weed wafted backstage. Perry didn't partake in the Mary Jane, saying, "The weed—I’m not friends with it."

She lost her virginity at 16: She did the deed for the first time in the front seat of a Volvo sedan. The soundtrack? Jeff Buckley's 'Grace.' Yes, that's a lot of detail but not TMI.

Her view of God is different, given her famously evangelical upbringing: "I do not believe God is an old guy sitting on a throne with a long beard.... I don’t believe in heaven and hell as a destination."

She is totally natural and untouched by a plastic surgeon's scalpel, making her status as a role model and a real girl authentic: "I’ve never had any plastic surgery. Not a nose, not a chin, not a cheek, not a t-t. So my messages of self-empowerment are truly coming from an au naturel product."
