Kevin Garnett will throw the ceremonial first pitch for the Twins' first game of the year at Target Field on April 13th. The Twins have a ton of things planned for their home opener - including a  free breakfast on the Target Field plaza and then when the gates open at 1 p.m., Twins legends Bert Blyleven, Tony Oliva, Kent Hrbek and Tom Kelly will be at the gates to greet fans as they come in. The Twins open their home season against Kansas City with the first pitch scheduled for 3:10 p.m.

Minnesota's season actually starts on April 6th with it's first six games on the road.

As of Thursday morning a limited number of tickets for the home opener were still available.
