Governor Mark Dayton has named a member of the Olmsted County Board to a new state task force.

Sheila Kiscaden is among the 12 Minnesotans appointed by the Governor to serve on the Task Force on Health Care Financing. The panel of health care experts will begin meeting next month to analyze and recommend options involving the future of state health care programs, including MNsure and MinnesotaCare.

The task force will also include the commissioners of the Minnesota Commerce and Health and Human Services Departments, the Executive director of MNSure and legislative appointees.

They are expected to have a final report ready for the Governor and state legislature in mid-January.
