Mr. Somers is our science, chemistry, physics teacher at Triton High School in Dodge Center. He is very into his classes and enjoys helping us catch the curiosity bug. He does really cool experiments and lets us sew moles for extra credit. I use to have an F in Chemistry but recently he has helped me a lot. . . now I have an A and I've never been happier. He makes it easy and fun so it's easy to learn and understand all the work. Sometimes he uses his himself as an experiment and rides his bike from Rochester to Dodge Center. . that's crazy. But it shows how much he is into his work and how dedicated he is. And also his wife made him recently add a baby carrier in the back of his bike . . . for there dog. That's really embarrassing. Please feel some pity for him and let him win.

I would like to nominate my son's Art teacher at John Marshall High School here in Rochester. Her name is Jan Sutor. Mrs. Sutor has been my son's ceramics teacher for the last three years. She is a talented and caring individual and cares about every one of her students. She teaches by example and encourages and allows her students to develop their passion. As my son says, "She will give you advice or directions, but you can choose to follow it or not. 100% of the time she is right. She will warn, but won't stop you, so when you mess up, you learn from your mistakes through this indirect learning. She lets you experiment with your work but doesn't say that you are doing it wrong. She guides you to your own style of artwork. She lets you stay in the art room and come in during your free periods to work on projects or to let you help out with the other students." Mrs. Sutor is always trying to improve the art department. She buys books for the  ceramics room out of her own funds and has brought in pottery from her own collection to share with the students. She has had her students help make soup bowls for the "Empty Bowls" charity events. The majority of the organizers to make the soup bowls for the Empty Bowl project were her former students.

I would like to nominate my teacher Ms.Royce. Ms. Royce is one of the funniest teachers at Sumner Elementary ( Austin ) she get make homework so fun. I'm not a big homework person but my homework is now fun. Ms.Royce has a hilarious sense of humor. We can have fun with her but get back to work right. Our math class is already done with our math book. We have so much fun with our teacher.
