Zumbro Falls,MN  (KROC AM News) - A Lake City woman was taken to St. Marys Hospital after the motorcycle she was riding struck a deer.

The Minnesota State Patrol says the motorcycle was driven by 61-year-old Randy Meincke of Lake City, who was not hurt.  Passenger 56-year-old Lori Meincke suffered non-life threatening injuries. The State Patrol says the accident happened on Highway 63 near Zumbro Falls around 9:00 PM Saturday.

Three hours earlier, a Twin Cities woman was hurt after crashing her motorcycle near Zumbro Falls.

The State Patrol says 52-year-old Darlene Clower of Oakdale failed to “negotiate a curve and lost control on loose gravel.”   She was taken to St. Marys Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

The stretch of Highway 60 between Zumbro Falls and Wabasha is a popular drive for motorcyclists because of its numerous - and sometimes very sharp - curves.
