They offer three tips to trick your guests into thinking the meal is even better than it is.  First, consider "Christmas scented" candles -The smell creates a festive environment- people feast when they feel festive.  Second, use Christmas colors in your dining area. The research suggests that reds and greens will make everything from wine to vegetables taste better.  Finally, be aware that your Christmas playlist has a huge impact on your guest's satisfaction.  Slower music is recommended because it triggers the brain to highlight sweet flavors and hide bitter tastes.

Consider songs like these for background music -

Celine Dion – The Christmas Song

Eartha Kitt – Santa Baby

Bing Crosby – White Christmas

Rod Stewart & Dave Koz – Let it Snow! Let it Snow! Let it Snow!

Dean Martin – Baby, It's Cold Outside
