Lizzie is doing incredible things with Relay For Life.

I was preparing for a fun day ahead at the Rochester Public Schools' Relay For Life on May 20th (at JM), when I noticed a story that made my heart stop.

I can't imagine how it would feel to lose my mother at only 11 years old, but sadly that's exactly what happened to Lizzie. She lost her mother to cancer.

Lizzie is now on a mission. She doesn't want a single kid in the southeast Minnesota area to know what it's like to lose their mother to cancer. She explains on her Relay For Life page, "I relay because I lost my mom to cancer when I was 11 and I don't want to see anyone go through that pain. This cause is near and dear to my heart and I'm going to give it everything I've got. "

We're with you Lizzie! Let's kick cancer's butt on May 20th! I'll see all of you there. Curious as to how much Relay For Life really helps the fight against cancer? In 2015, $150 million dollars went to groundbreaking research, and 2017 is shaping up to be amazing too!

Join us on May 20th at 4PM!
