Local Heroes to be Honored at Harvest Jam Music Festival

Over the last few weeks we've been asking listeners to nominate people they know that are heroes. Our goal was to find one very deserving hero and award them with a VIP package complete with tickets to the Harvest Jam Music Festival and a gift basket from our friends at First Alliance Credit Union.

We received a ton of nominations so picking just one winner was next to impossible. Every person was deserving so we decided to recognize all of them. We reached out to every nominee and gave each tickets to attend the Harvest Jam Music Festival with their families.

We then randomly selected one of the heroes to receive the gift basket. That person is Chris Gilmore. Chris was nominated by his girlfriend Ashley who said, "Gilmore was a Marine for almost 10 years. He has served as an EMT, Fireman and Police Officer since. He also works with the American Legion and POW MIA Riders."

Thank you to everyone that contacted us about local heroes. It is often easy to get busy in life and forget just how important these people are to community and country. We are blessed to be surrounded by so many wonderful people here in Southeast Minnesota.

At the Harvest Jam Music Festival we will take a moment to recognize these amazing individuals.
