Local Woman Kicks Cancer’s Ass

In November of 2014 we shared Teresa Shaw's story with you. Teresa was battling cancer at the time.

Shaw gained national attention after being serenaded by Garth Brooks at one of his concerts in Minneapolis. Garth noticed her sign and gave her a pep talk, telling her to "kick cancer's ass." He then played an emotional version of his hit "The Dance". You can see the original footage here. A few days after that concert, Teresa joined Dunken and Samm, to talk about the magical experience.

The Osage, Iowa woman did kick cancer's ass, and on April 30th, Shaw attended another Garth Brooks concert. This time her sign read "I kicked cancer's ass. Still enjoying the dance!"
