Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A Rochester man has been charged with sexually abusing a young girl at the Rochester YMCA.

The girl - who is under 12-years-old - says the incident happened in the swimming pool April 4th.

The girl told police she was in the pool when a man who was also in the water asked her to sit on his lap. The girl says the man began bouncing her and said they were playing “bucking bronco.” She told an investigator she “found it odd that the man was trying to keep her on him rather than bucking her off.”  She says the man told her it “really felt good.”

Police identified the man as 64-year-old Timothy Peffley. He denied the girl’s accusations but has been charged with a felony count of 2nd-degree criminal sexual conduct.

He has been ordered to make his first court appearance next month.
