Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - Rochester police took a man to St. Mary’s for a mental evaluation Tuesday night after he created an incident at the public library.

An employee was told about a 26-year-old man looking at pornography on a computer and fondling himself. The employee told the man to leave and called police when he began making a scene. He then left and the employee went after him.

The employee spotted the man trying to leave the parking ramp in his car and stood in front of him at the exit. The man drove forward and struck the employee, knocking him down. When the employee tried grabbing the car keys, the man began punching him in the head. That’s when officers arrived and took him into custody.

It’s not known if the man will face any charges.
