Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A Mexican health care provider has joined the Mayo Clinic Care Network.

Mayo says Centro Médico Puerta de Hierro is based in Guadalajara and is a tertiary care group with five hospitals and other facilities that offers care in 30 specialties, including transplant, cardiology, and neurology.

Centro Médico Puerta de Hierro is the first network member from western Mexico.

The Mayo Clinic Care Network was created in 2011 and has grown to more than 40 member organizations from the U.S., China, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Korea, and United Arab Emirates.
