Trainor posted on Instagram that she suffered a vocal cord hemorrhage and will need surgery to repair the damage.

"I am devastated, scared, and so sorry," she wrote.

Ticket sales for her State Fair appearance have been suspended and refunds will be issued from the point of purchase, according to Fair officials.

Organizers say they're now looking for a replacement show and will announce that performer, as soon as possible.

If you purchased a ticket to Trainor's show with a credit card, the card will automatically be refunded.

Tickets purchased with cash or check should be returned via mail.

If you have questions regarding your refund, call 651-288-4427.
