Secretary of State Steve Simon created the first ever statewide mock election for high schools in Minnesota.

Over 75,000 students voted in the mock election which was held at 213 schools across the state. As of now,  Donald Trump won the fake election earning 35 percent of the vote compared to Hillary Clinton’s 33 percent.

Students at Century and John Marshall High in Rochester favored Clinton over Trump. The total at Century was 389-201 while the JM total was 122-49.

The Secretary of State's office says additional high schools will be allowed to hold mock elections and the results will be updated. Those results can be found here.

The latest tracking poll conducted by the Star Tribune of registered voters shows that Clinton holds a comfortable lead in our state.
