17-year-old, Katie Coopet, is being praised for keeping her cool during a very unusual day at the waterpark.

Coopet is a lifeguard and cashier at the waterpark in Alexandria. Last Monday, Katie was working the snack bar when one of the lifeguards started having a seizure, everyone panicked, expect for Katie. Coopet called 911and stayed with the girl until paramedics arrived. The young girl was taken to the hospital and is fine.

Down a lifeguard Katie was asked to fill in. As she was going to get her swimsuit from her car she noticed another lifeguard wasn't looking good. Turns out he was having a seizure too. Katie sat him down, took his pulse and called 911 again.

The confused dispatcher thought she was talking about the first emergency situation - Katie stayed calm and explained that a different person was having a seizure. Katie sat with him until paramedics arrived and took him to the hospital.  He's doing fine, too.
