Minnesota Man Steals Bus to Avoid Being late for Work
31 year-old Gregory Jennrich is facing up to five years in jail for felony auto theft.
The St. Paul man accidentally locked his keys in his car when he stopped at a gas station on his way to work last Wednesday. He was already running late so instead of waiting on a locksmith or calling a cab he decided to steal a city bus which was idling nearby. (The bus driver had gone into the gas station and left the bus unattended.)
Jennrich actually works worked as a mechanic for the Metro system in the Twin Cities. However, a spokesman says they'll be "exploring his employment" over the next few weeks - a.k.a., he's history.
