Minnesota State Patrol Says Don’t Brake for Wildlife
The Minnesota State Patrol is asking motorists to avoid braking for ducks, geese or any other wildlife while driving on highways.
The request comes after a three car accident was caused when a driver stopped on I-694 to let ducks cross. KARE 11 reports: a van, driven by a Crystal man, stopped on the interstate to allow the ducks to pass. That's when an SUV, driven by a Maple Grove man, rear-ended the van. The SUV spun out and was then hit by another SUV, driven by a Brooklyn Center man.
Thankfully, no major injuries resulted from the accident.
Nearly a year ago the State Patrol sent out the same request, after a video of cars swerving to avoid ducks crossing I-35, went viral. You can see that video, here.
