The Minnesota State Patrol says a trooper pulled over a semi on Interstate 90 last week after the truck was seen weaving in and out of lanes.

This wasn't your typical distracted-driver stop though.

The truck driver did admit right away that he had been texting. What makes this case different is how he was texting and driving.

The trooper noticed right away that the driver's phone was connected to the steering wheel with Velcro. Apparently, this was his way of keeping his eyes on the road. The problem though was pushing buttons to text caused the steering wheel to move which in turn caused his truck to veer in and out of the lanes.

The driver was issued a ticket for texting while driving.
