Schools have always struggled to create a menu that is both nutritious and delicious for their students. When I was in school 'rectangle-pizza' and taco days were always very popular but everything else was less than memorable. Students at Wayzata High School want to change that. This week the kids teamed up with Schwan’s Chef Collective chefs to develop new ideas for school lunches. The Schwans company is a leading supplier to schools around the country so they really value the input offered by students.

Stacey Fowler, senior vice president of product innovation and development for Schwan told businesswire.com,“We see the Schwan’s Chef Collective evolving to meet the ever-changing tastes and expectations of our customers and consumers. To do so, we will continue to seek chef partnerships to evolve our current portfolio and create new food concepts. The Schwan’s Chef Collective is looking to customize sauce applications in the K-12 space by addressing challenges that food-service operators in K-12 schools face, as well as renovating meal options and menu items with direct feedback from students.”
