Minnesota official became a state on May 11th, 1858. It's oldest town was founded thirty two years before that.

Wabasha is the oldest town in our state. It has been occupied continuously since 1826.

Looking for a reason to road-trip to Wabasha? Trip Advisor's number one suggestion is a guided tour from Broken Paddle Guiding. Their website says they offer kayak, canoe and paddle-board tours and biking tours of Red Wing, Winona, Lake City and Wabasha. Of course you could always visit the National Eagle Center. They are open year-round with special events every month. And with winter coming don't forget about  Coffee Mill Ski Resort.

Looking for somewhere to eat when you're there? Stacy's Kitchen is the top rated restaurant on Yelp. Online reviewers say Stacy's has the absolute best breakfast in town.
