Names Released in Deadly Weekend Accident

The Minnesota State Patrol has released the names of those involved in a fatal traffic wreck that happened near Rochester Saturday night.

The Patrol says a car driven by 20-year-old Derek Lucas of Rochester was westbound on Highway 14 two miles east of RCTC around 9:30 p.m.when it collided head-on with an SUV.

Lucas was taken to St. Mary’s where he died. A passenger, 58-year-old David Lucas, was also taken to St. Mary’s with serious injuries but he was no longer listed as a patient Monday morning. The SUV was driven by 52-year-old Senesack Linthakhanh of St. Charles, who was treated for minor injuries at the scene.
