The National Weather Service is forecasting thunderstorms for our listening area this evening and some could produce dangerous conditions.  The Olmsted County Homeland Security and Emergency Management's facebook page just posted this update-  "Showers and thunderstorms are on pace to move into the county between 6-8pm this evening, though a few showers may push in during the late afternoon. There is a chance for severe thunderstorms capable of producing 1.5" hail, wind gusts to 55-65 mph, medium to high amounts of lightning, and heavy downpours. The worst of the weather will clear by midnight, with lingering rains possible through about 3am. The impacts for Olmsted county may still change depending on the track of the stronger storms, and it would be advisable to keep a close eye on the weather for later today."
